POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for coordinating all activities associated with keeping production on schedule using proven materials processes. Materials Coordinators are also responsible for inventory management to maintain the integrity of inventory records and coordinating all activities associated with the Materials department within a designated area on the production line.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Coordinate all materials functions within a designated cell/area on the production floor.
  • Responsible for maintaining accuracy of inventory in your designated area and accuracy of reject requirements.
  • Ensure work center data is complete, accurate and current 
  • Communicate job schedules to shop floor personnel through the use of dispatch/Kanban techniques 
  • Monitor production activities to maintain the integrity of the job order and inventory files 
  • Perform cycle counts and cell audits to ensure inventory accuracy on a daily basis and distribute reports 
  • Support production through monitoring, scheduling, and expediting parts

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.  Associates degree in related field is considered a plus
  • 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or inventory management role is preferred
  • Ability to adapt to rapid change and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Oral and written communication skills – ability to communicate instructions clearly; resolve conflicts, determine core issues; document work instructions and general written materials 
  • Proficient with Computers (Word, Excel), along with strong keyboarding skills.
