Apply NowPURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Regional Financial Controller is responsible for managing all (day to day) financial activities of the entities within the assigned jurisdiction, including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, internal controls, and risk & compliance. This is a critical role in helping strategic decision-making by providing insightful financial reports, analysis and forecasts. The position is based in Amsterdam and periodic travel to UK, IRL and other European destinations is expected.
KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to)
Accounting
· Work together with and manage local bookkeepers (both internal as outsourced) to continuously have an up-to-date financial view of the entities within the assigned jurisdictions.
· Manage relationships, from a financial point of view, with investors where Nido Living provides Property Management services.
· Contribute to the implementation of a new group-wide ERP system.
· Perform financial controls on a frequent basis.
· Provide comprehensive oversight of all relevant financial topics within entities and ensuring that group financial procedures are followed.
· Advise on operational efficiency and financial risk mitigation.
· Manage the timely preparation of accounts, tax returns and ensure compliance with all tax regulations.
· Actively participate in financial audits and serve as a primary point of contact for external auditors as necessary.
Budgeting & forecasting
· Coordinate the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for both internal as external stakeholders and monitor performance against them.
Reporting & analysis
· Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
· Analyse financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
Compliance
· Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures to safeguard company and outside investors’ assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
· Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
· Manage local finance vendors to ensure efficient financial operations and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Other
· Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to streamline financial operations.
· Collaborate with other departments to align financial strategies with broader business objectives, driving overall financial performance.

EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
· Minimum 3 years of experience as a Financial Controller or similar role.
· Experience working with and managing outsourced accounting functions
· Good understanding of IFRS. Understanding of NL, UK and IRL GAAP a plus.
· Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Fluency in working English is mandatory, additional European languages are beneficial, but not a prerequisite.
· Experience in NetSuite a big plus
· Experience in Real Estate or Hospitality considered an advantage
