We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimize our end-to-end supply chain operations. This role demands deep expertise in production planning, dispatch coordination, procurement processes, purchase order management, and logistics operations. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless coordination between departments, maintaining inventory levels, and streamlining procurement and distribution activities.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in managing production departments and end-to-end purchase cycles, and thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment. You will be expected to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Planning:
Develop and implement efficient production schedules based on sales forecasts, capacity planning, and inventory levels. Ensure alignment with organizational goals while minimizing downtime and maximizing resource utilization. - Dispatch Planning:
Plan and manage dispatch activities to ensure on-time delivery to customers. Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, and sales teams to optimize dispatch schedules and transportation routes. - Production Department Coordination:
Work closely with the production team to align supply chain strategies with manufacturing capabilities. Monitor and address bottlenecks, material shortages, or operational inefficiencies. - Procurement and Purchase Management:
Source, negotiate, and manage vendor relationships. Create and maintain accurate purchase orders, ensuring timely procurement of raw materials and services in line with production needs and budget targets. - Inventory Management:
Maintain optimal stock levels of raw materials, semi-finished, and finished goods. Use inventory management tools and systems to track stock movement and reduce excess or obsolete inventory. - Logistics Oversight:
Manage logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution. Liaise with third-party logistics providers and internal teams to ensure timely and cost-efficient delivery. - Process Improvement:
Continuously identify opportunities to enhance supply chain efficiency through automation, system improvements, vendor optimization, and strategic sourcing initiatives.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of production planning and dispatch processes
- Proven experience managing procurement and purchase orders
- Hands-on experience in logistics and warehouse operations
- Ability to collaborate with production departments to meet business goals
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills
- Proficiency in supply chain software tools and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Ability to handle pressure and resolve conflicts in a dynamic environment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred)
- Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in supply chain, production, or logistics management
