Audiokinetic is looking for a customer-oriented Field Application Engineer with a background in software development to join our team. You will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to our customers and ensuring the successful implementation of our line of products, such as Wwise.

In collaboration with our innovation and business development teams, in this role, you will work closely with our customers to understand their unique requirements and design customized solutions that meet their needs. You will also provide technical training, troubleshoot issues, and ensure customer satisfaction. 

What will you do?

Your duties will typically include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Collaborate with the business development team to understand customer requirements
• Work closely with the software development team to design custom software solutions tailored to customer requirements
• Conduct product demos and presentations to prospective customers
• Provide technical training and support to customers during the implementation and integration phase
• Act as a liaison between customers and internal teams to ensure smooth project implementation
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may arise during deployment
• Continuously update technical knowledge and stay up-to-date with industry trends
• Conduct customer site visits to provide onsite support and offer technical guidance
• Assist in the creation of technical documentation and user manuals
• Attend industry-specific events and build credibility across the community
• Support the product development roadmap

What do you bring to the team?

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience in a technical role, such as software engineering or technical support
• Knowledge of automotive hardware and software architecture or communication protocols, an asset
• Experience with audio or digital signal processing
• Exposure to embedded systems (an asset)
• Good  knowledge of C/C++, Python
• Experience with Android device development (AOSP) and Linux development environments
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a high level of autonomy and initiative
• Fluent in Mandarin Chinese
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Chinese/Mandarin
• Ability to work independently and proactively with minimal supervision
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Familiarity with software testing and quality assurance processes
