You’ll lead the end-to-end design process, mentor designers, and build scalable design systems that elevate the developer experience.
Key Responsibilities:

- Build and maintain a cohesive design system spanning web applications, IDE extensions, and integrations with Git platforms.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and product teams to create intuitive developer-first interfaces.
- Guide and mentor junior designers, establishing strong design practices and team processes.
- Architect experiences that translate complex technical data and AI insights into clear, usable interfaces.
- Conduct user research to understand developer workflows, challenges, and expectations.
- Design clear visualizations for metrics related to code quality and AI-generated feedback.
Qualifications:
Required:
- 5–8 years of experience in product design, ideally with technical or developer-focused tools.
- Strong portfolio showcasing impactful work on complex, technical products.
- Deep understanding of developer tools, workflows, and user behaviors.
- Demonstrated experience in building and scaling design systems.
- Proficient in Figma and other modern design tools.
- Strong grasp of information architecture and visualizing technical data.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills to advocate for design decisions.
Preferred:
- Experience working in developer-centric companies (e.g., GitHub, Postman, Hasura).
- Familiarity with software development concepts and Git workflows.
- Experience designing IDE plugins, browser extensions, or developer tools.
- Background in designing for AI/ML-powered products.
- Contributions to open-source design systems.
- Knowledge of motion design and micro-interaction design.
Design Challenges You’ll Take On:
- Designing intuitive interfaces for code analysis and AI-powered suggestions.
- Creating a unified experience across diverse developer environments.
- Visualizing technical metrics and patterns in a digestible format.
- Building real-time collaboration patterns for code review.
- Balancing the complexity of technical accuracy with ease of use.
